Dr Alix Chadwell

Alix works at the University of Salford as a postdoctoral researcher. In 2012, she graduated with a Masters in Medical Engineering from the University of Bath, and since then has pursued her ambitions of working with prosthetics. Her PhD thesis, which she completed at Salford in 2018, focussed on understanding why people struggle to control myoelectric prostheses, and her current work takes a similar approach to allow us to understand how we could improve body-powered devices.
