Dr Dick Plettenburg

Dick H. Plettenburg received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Twente, The Netherlands, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering design from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands.

He is currently faculty member of the BioMechanical Engineering Department of the Delft University of Technology, director of the Delft Institute of Prosthetics and Orthotics, and member of several rehabilitation treatment teams in the Netherlands. His research interests include mechanical engineering design and miniature fluidics, with a focus on applications in upper limb prosthetics and orthotics.
