Safa Herfat

Safa Herfat is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the Technical Coordinator for the MSF Doctors Without Borders 3D Project. His research areas include the application of 3D technologies and sensors in the prosthetics clinic, the development of orthopaedic sensors to monitor bone fracture healing, and the biomechanical evaluation of orthopaedic implants and surgical strategies. Safa completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati.
